Ingredients

  • 100gms Fresh Turmeric (Kachi haldi)

  • 2 tbsp Ghee

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 1 Green chilli

  • 4-5 Curry leaves

  • 2 cloves

  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon

  • 1 Green Cardomom

  • 1/4th cup Green peas

  • 1/2 cup Curd

  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin-coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder

  • Pinch of Asafoetida

  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste

Directions

  • Peel, wash and grate turmeric.
  • Ground Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardomom and Black peppercorns.
  • Prepare a paste of Ginger and Garlic.
  • Add red chilli powder,cumin-coriander powder and garam masala powder.
  • Boil peas.
  • Meanwhile, Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add Cumin seeds, grounded masala, ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves, Asafoetida and Green chilli.
  • Add grated turmeric and cover and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes until the turmeric softens.
  • Add prepared curd and some water and cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add boiled peas and salt and cook for 2 minutes more.
  • Sabji is ready to eat.
  • Serve hot with Rajathani moti roti, Phulka or Bajre ki roti.
